A self-taught and prolific artist since an early age, Raúl Ortiz won his first drawing competition at the age of fourteen. Soon after he could be seen drawing the logos of his favourite bands, making designs to decorate his mountain bike helmet or doing an artistic painting on the wall of some of his friends’ bedroom. Raúl started to design tattoos when one of his friends asked him for a Celtic cross tattoo and nowadays Raúl is an internationally recognised artist due to his unique style.

SHEGSY is the shop window for Raul´s artwork. SHEGSY stems from the dreams and with the intention of inspiring the people out there so we all feel more alive. The need to express through art, the obsession for the creation of the perfect tattoo design, the abstraction of everyday objects, spectacular landscapes, and incredible animals…. an invitation to an intriguing voyage into this quest for love, understanding and self-awareness.
